About Me

I’m Daniel Nguyen, professionally known as DJ DLX, a Seattle-area DJ with over 3 years of experience performing at homecomings, proms, weddings, private events, youth organizations, and large celebrations. I’m passionate about creating energetic, engaging, and memorable experiences for every audience. I operate as a licensed DJ business, carry DJ insurance, provide professional DJ equipment, and work closely with event organizers to ensure every event runs smoothly and fits their vision.

My Story

I started DJing at the age of 14, driven by my love for music from a very young age. My first DJ gig was at a small local park, where I performed for a crowd of just 15–20 people.

Since then, what started as a small passion has grown into something much bigger. I’ve had the opportunity to DJ events with crowds of 1,000+ people and perform at larger events and celebrations.

What I love most about DJing is being able to share the same feeling and connection I’ve always had with music with other people. Seeing a crowd come together, enjoy themselves, and create memories through music is what continues to inspire me to DJ and grow as an artist.

My Goal

My goal is to give back to the DJ community and help create the same opportunities that have helped me grow. I want to support upcoming DJs, especially those who are just starting out, and help them build the confidence, skills, and connections they need to pursue their own goals.

I am also the founder of a new festival show called Takeaway, created with the goal of giving new and upcoming DJs a platform to perform, gain experience, and get their name out there. I want Takeaway to be more than just an event—it’s an opportunity for emerging artists to be seen, heard, and given the chance to grow.

Looking toward the future, I am also working toward founding a DJ Group that will bring together upcoming DJs, create more opportunities to perform, and provide a community where artists can learn from and support one another. This project is currently in development, but it is another step toward my goal of creating more opportunities for the next generation of DJs.

I’ve been fortunate to receive opportunities and support throughout my journey, and I hope to return those favors by opening doors for the next generation of DJs and helping them reach goals that once felt out of reach.
