D. J. Parker
I was born in California but lived all of my life in the southern part of Arkansas. In 2008, I made the move with my family to Wisconsin. It didn't take too much effort to get used to the Midwest way of living. It's actually very similar to the South--just with colder winters and cooler summers. Not a bad trade off if I say so myself.
I initially went to college to study music but changed after two years to Business Administration and Economics. However, I never lost my love for music. I think that's why it's such a focus in my writing. A good song is great inspiration. Heck, even a bad song is great inspiration.
Though I've only written one book so far, I've already begun work on the second. It is the story of Bennett Ross, a character from WHAT'S NOT BROKEN. It is not a sequel to WHAT'S NOT BROKEN but part of a continuing story with its own new, exciting, lovable--and not so lovable--characters. It can be read after WHAT'S NOT BROKEN or as a standalone book. It should be out within the next year. WHAT'S NOT BROKEN is currently available for purchase on Amazon, iTunes, and Barnes & Noble.
