Born Steven Gonzalez, New York City, USA. DJ Chip Chop displayed dj/producing talent at an early age. Growing up in a family of DJ’s and musicians, Chip Chop enjoyed a wide variety of music. He enjoyed listening to everything that made him move inside and out. Underground House, Disco, Funk, Jazz, Latin, Rock, Classical and his love for percussion would later helped him become more open to being more experimental with her style and production of music. I have been a consistently full time working DJ with club experience for over20 years. I have played all over NYC and have an uncanny ability to play for just about any crowd. My most recent performances have been at Crobar, Studio, Mars 2112, LOVE, Splash, Aer, Deep, Avalon, Warehouse, The Battle Balls, Quo, Hiro, APT, Pacha, Hammerstein Ballroom, and Virgin Music Mega Store to name a few. I have played in over 20 different states as well as Germany, Iceland, Japan, Canada, Australia, Ibiza, Spain, Finland, China, Russia.

I have over 15 years of radio experience. B91 (Brooklyn University), 91.5 FM/Channel 25 WNYE, 103.5 FM, WKTU (NY, NJ), Party 105FM, WXXP (Long Island),Planet Radio (Germany). I play all styles of House and Top 40 and am heard all throughout the week. I am also a producer and engineer with over 50 productions and remixes to date. Being both a club and radio DJ has given me excellent relations with many record companies as well as celebrity singers, dancers, musicians and performers all whom are loyal Chip Chop fans. I have been mentioned in The Daily News, NY Times, NY Post, Billboard, HX, Next, Go, Village Voice, Time Out, and Giant Magazine. I also do benefit events for the following charities: AIDS Walk NY, GMHC, Cancer Research and Toys for Tots.
