Dj Drumline

Unorthodox, electrifying, exhilarating these are some of the words used to describe 22-year-old Chevaughn James whose stage name is ‘Dj Drumline’. His love for music was found during his early childhood but he however developed a genuine love for playing music at age twelve. Around this time he played for his community’s football competition. He realized that it was a joy to see that people enjoyed ‘rocking’ to the music that he selected so he decided to take this hobby much further.

Dj Drumline saw a positive turn in his career as a disc jockey in the year 2011. His greatest achievements thus far have been playing at various renowned events in and around Montego Bay. He has received a positive feedback on his selections, which has resulted in him being booked for other events such as birthday parties, club events and corporate events.

Humble character however once he touches the stage, his unparalleled juggling keeps patrons in non-stop motion. Dj Drumline is currently enrolled at the University Of Technology as an Information Technology major in his 3 year of study. Dj Drumline has also left his mark in the Kingston area by electrifying both UTech and UWI campus and other events in Jamaica.

Motivation for him comes from hearing people applaud his work. It gives him great pleasure and serves as a push factor to hear positive comments about his selection of music. Dj Drumline music caters to different moods and events, be it corporate, weddings, birthdays, club events and carnivals. “My aim is to ensure that my patrons are truly satisfied once I finish my set”.
