FrankyHows started DJing in the early 80’s as a local party DJ, soon after he got his break and started spinning at the “la mirage” nightclub and various local clubs in Bronx, NY. In 1988 he joined In-Synce productions doing public relations and planning events such as the “Children born with Aids” benefit held at the Kingsbridge armory in Bronx, NY for the “hail house” in Harlem.
By early 90’s he relocated to Philadelphia, PA where he was managing, event planning, and Djing at various popular night clubs and making guest appearances on college/FM radio shows. He worked as a public relations representative for a few record companies like Death row, indigo and ruff house records getting the artists locations for events. He also started working in studios such as Campbell studios. Eventually opening his own nightclubs “In the house studio” at 4th and south street, which became popular in the hip-hop, house and techno scene and “Nubian nation” a popular hip-hop and reggae venue. A lot of people do not know that FrankyHows was an excellent dancer and also did a little work as a choreographer for a few pop music performing bands.
By late 90’s FrankyHows decided to move back home to NY after 11 yrs of living in Philadelphia. He started “DMD” (Digital Mobil Djs) and added comedy shows such as Def jam college series, car shows and holiday events to his resume.
By early 2000 he started working at various popular night clubs such as Cain, Spirit, Buddha lounge and Latino to name a few. He also started broadcasting on internet radio where he started a show called “Sugacube sessions” on Shout cast, Facethebass.com, HouseMasons.com, Ustream and is currently on Cyberjamz.com. In 2004 he started working with global remix productions producing and creating world beat music, where he participated in events called “Bellyhouse” . In 2006 he started as a resident DJ at sapphire lounge doing an event called “deep see” with DJ’s Eman, spider and lola. At this time he started producing records for Eman of Liberate records. Soon thereafter he started his own event at Sapphire lounge called “Sugacube sessions”. He was doing various events at different clubs throughout the 5 Boros like the Star light lounge, Franks lounge and Ray Hans loft. He decided by 2009 to open up his own after hours spot called “the cellar” and started donating his DJ time to various dance classes and events in NYC, such as “the urban renewal”
