Ibrahim Ghannam aka “DJ-G” began his Djing career in his high school days. Back in his local school G was famous for his drumming skills.

As a child he used to listen and study music from the channels like MTV and MCM. At the time he had an tremendous love for HIP-HOP and was influenced by some artists like VANILLA ICE, RUN-DMC, NAUGHTY BY NATURE and HOUSE OF PAIN.

In early 2006 partying and DJ’s were a common scene in Male’ and there weren’t enough guys like G to spin a DJ crazy. So he used to take several gigs a week making him self very popular amongst the youth.

G’s resort music career began in late 2007.

With discipline and an infinite passion for music G really set his foot in resort music in 2009 with the help of the most respective and well known DJ’s in Maldives like DJ UMAR with the help of UBER EVENTS & ARTIST MANAGEMENT.

Now G is a regular Disc Jockey at Veligandu island resort & Spa and And he also performed in

•Vilamendoo Island Resort & Spa

G’s first New Year gig was at Soneva gili. After that he played for Makunudhoo island resort and Spa in 2010 and 2011.

Although he’s an established DJ at resorts G also takes up local gigs too. He can often be found playing at events held in “Old Raalhugandu”, the artificial beach and many street gigs.

G wants to remain a student for all his life. He believes an open mind is the key to learn and innovate. His love for music and learning can be seen through his large collection of music dating from the 50’s & continental music.

With the most updated playlists he goes on spinning charity gigs, weddings, and birthday parties and has performed at over different cooperative events through out the years including the luxurious yacht like MV/ Dhaain’kanbaa & other safari boats along with local tourism scenes like Maafushi.

Currently he’s the Official DJ of Dhigufaru island resort , Atmosphere by OBLU & Fushifaru Maldives.
