DJ Katz

I've been DJing in the midtown Sacramento area for over 7 years. I started my musical journey 12 years ago, doing private gigs in weddings, back yard pool parties, and graduation ceremonies. My background comes from the underground "Rave Scene" though. I love Electronic House Music and every derivative of it, 'Electro is my life'. I respectfully give credit to Depeche Mode for my soul interest in Electronic music. I currently have resident jobs at many of the nightclubs in the Sacramento area. I am a co-owner of Industry Standard Productions, which is a Sacramento chapter of underground house music, and I have thrown a summer patio themed session called Sundaze for the past 3 seasons, which includes local DJ’s from Sacramento. I try to give back to the community as well as educate the masses on House Music in, and outside of the 'Club' scene "DJ Katz is a local artist that has had residencies in the midtown and downtown Sacramento area for the past 5 years. He also resides at the Redwood Room inside the historical and very posh Clift Hotel in San Francisco. He holds 3 residencies weekly and opens for international headliners at District 30 (owned by Ruby Sky SF) such as James Zabiela, Richard Vision, Bam Bam, and Paul Oakenfold. His forte' and background comes from the electronic underground playing styles similar to DJ Dan, Bad Boy Bill, Donald Glaude, & Benni Benassi.
