I am R. Singh but most of you know me as DJ Midknyte. I was born and raised in Fiji Islands and moved to Bay Area, California when I was a teenager. I've been djing since I was in high school, mostly at friends’ and family events. I remember mixing with tapes, records and CDs. In 2000, I started mixing, promoting and remixing tracks for CDs for fun.

I also write lyrics and poetry, mostly about life, my feelings and what I see. Feel free to follow me on Instagram to read some of my poetry.

In 2006, I was one of the first DJs to introduce Bay Area, California to DESI HIP HOP. I also brought many Desi Artists together in a club and on our mixtape "Fauji DJ's: Desi Hip Hop Mixtape" in 2007.

In 2008, I was also the first DJ from Bay Area to release Bollywood/Desi Artist Mixtape "BOLLYWOOD HEIST", which featured many of Desi Artists from around the world with different genres. So far, I have released 6 Bollywood Heist Mixtapes.

I've networked with Artists from all over USA, Canada, Fiji Islands, Norway, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Australia and more. I always keep myself busy networking, promoting artists with all genre backgrounds and on my own projects. At the moment I’m teamed up with my best friend, Gooch aka TamiLion, to complete the I.B.C Project.
