Daniel Clarke

I'm a BBC producer with a background in news and current affairs (I've worked on the Today Programme, as Deputy Editor of Newsround, and in Cairo as Middle East Producer), currently working on many exciting things at CBBC - the BBC's channel for 6-12's. I get involved in as broad a range of projects as I can, from one-off films that use animation to engage kids in subjects as challenging as what it's like to grow up with Autism, to original fact - ent series, online games and experimental interactive products. I am driven by making compelling stuff on all platforms that challenges preconceptions, never underestimates audiences, and changes lives - if only a little. Recent awards include the RTS for Best Children's Programme, 2012 for My Autism and Me (Executive Producer), which also came second in the 2012 Prix Jeunesse.
