Santero is a true stalwart of the UK music scene, sharing his encyclopaedic knowledge of dancefloor movers around the world for well over a decade.
Now based in East London, Santero has represented the UK in the World Final of Red Bull Thre3style as well as spending 3 years as club and World Tours resident for Ministry of Sound.
Santero started his career with a residency at Nottingham's legendary nightclub The Bomb, and was soon a regular at parties across the nation, playing alongside everyone from Grandmaster Flash, Jazzy Jeff & Afrika Bambaata to Annie Mac, Diplo and Claude Von Stroke.
In 2010 he became the UK Red Bull Thre3style champion, defeating the likes of Oneman, Martelo and future winner Big Al in the final, and going on to represent the UK in the World Final in Paris, demonstrating the old skool DJing skills he learned in his years cutting and scratching through hip hop, funk, soul and disco records, prior to focussing his energies on house.
In early 2014 Why They Trippin reached #12 in the Beatport Chart and gained plays on Radio 1, 1xtra and Capital FM, while in July he rocked the main stage at GlobalGathering alongside The Prodigy, Knife Party, Annie Mac and many more. His touring schedule has seen him travel to Bali, Hong Kong, Nairobi, Kenya, Gothenburg, Dubai, Cairo and many other destinations, while his releases have continued to rock dancefloors across the globe.
