Hire me

I am a fourth-year student at the University of Johannesburg pursuing a Bachelor of Education degree majoring in Psychology and History. As a future educator, I believe in the use of twenty-first-century pedagogical methods of teaching. These include (but are not limited to) using media and technology as a tools to teach, the practice of all forms of inclusivity in the classroom and ensuring that learners are given expression and are encouraged to engage in the classroom. I believe that I have the skills and capabilities to be the teacher I desire to be and I am more than excited to tap into the field of education.

Apart from my profession, I have a keen interest in politics and activism. I am a student activist, queer activist and gender activist. I have a very deep passion for these interests and I believe that my ideologies will one day be realized. These include the fight against homophobia, patriarchy and inequality amongst the student populous. As part of my activism, I am currently a member of the South African Student Congress Organisation, the Embrace Diversity Political Movement and other political movements that support my cause.

Another interest that captures my heart is my interest in music. For many years I've been a member of my church choir and other notable choirs like Jozi Sings Chorale. I am currently a member of the University of Johannesburg Choir. I am looking forward to being a music teacher in the near future, as a matter of fact, I once partook in school choir rehearsals at a school that I was doing my work-integrated learning.

I am currently looking for employment and a to network whilst I'm still studying. Please click on my LinkedIn link for more information.
