I am a hormone/nutrition expert. It's been the fickle finger of fate to be so.

I was writing one of the breakthrough books on endocrine disruptors—EDCs—(Hormone Deceptionwhich is about plastics, pesticides, toxicants and how to protect yourself and your family with room by room tours and detoxes) when I noticed I had many of the very issues caused by these chemicals, myself.

The model compound, DES, is the most powerful hormone disruptor ever invented. It was sadly given to millions of pregnant women for over 30 years creating one of the worst public health tragedies lasting decades. So while writing a breakthrough book on ECDs I discovered I was a very victim of what I was writing about! I was a DES daughter and that explained why I couldn't have children, grew multiple tumors and battled for my health though I did everything right.

I am a scientist, clinician, author (almost 25 books many on hormones), worked at a hormone think tank at Tulane with the top hormone scientists in the world, and designed pharmaceuticals and published peer review papers. But most important of all... due to the DES I have been a patient over and over again and understand fear, frustration and earned a deep heart of compassion.

I have had to hack my health back when all the experts said there was no way I ever could. I have lost 7 1/2 organs, 18 lymph nodes and was told that I could never be the same.

I designed strategic hormone replacement (even though I had breast cancer 21 years ago) and learned how to stop growth out of control. I understand complex cases and how to get well again at the root level.

Now I do dance marathons, canoe, write, consult with complex cases especially cancer remotely all over the world, and live dynamically in my 60's.
