Corporate Banker and Father in East Rockaway, NY

Back my campaign

Thanks for being here! As you may or may not know, I am running for East Rockaway School Board of Education on May 18th. I wanted to create this page so you can find out a little bit more about me.

I am married to my lovely wife, Kristina, for the last 16 years. She was a 1995 graduate of ERHS and is currently a stay-at-home mom. We have two daughters, Rikki (10th grade), who is hopefully attending Barry Tech/BOCES next year to study animation design, and Felicity, a 7th grader and curiously videographer.

My life in ER started in 1983 when my parents moved to East Rockaway. I grew up on Waldo Avenue. I attended the playgroup at the ER library and then graduated from Centre Avenue School in 1992. I was a member of Cub Scout Pack 84 and Boy Scout Troop 336 at St. Raymonds. I went to ERHS and graduated in 1998. I was involved in football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, percussion/jazz band, chorus, and the school musical for four years. I participated in Rock Rivalry all four years, too, and was a RR class advisor and even a judge!

After ERHS, I went on to Marist College in Poughkeepsie to study communications and eventually graduated in 2011 (it's a long story—ask me about it).

I landed in banking shortly after college and have been with my current employer for ten years. As a globally trained corporate banker, I get to work with some of the most innovative companies in the Tri-State Area! I help develop financial strategies and offer working capital solutions to middle-market and large corporate enterprises.

Hurricane Sandy brought our community severe devastation, and I saw a need to help bring people together. Soon after, the11518 was born, and we hosted meetings with neighbors and tried to share resources to get our community back on track. We did rip-outs and cleaned up landscaping. Eventually, these community-focused efforts inspired our annual pub crawl to raise money for disaster relief across America while showcasing our revitalized neighborhood. It also sparked my involvement with the East Rockaway Education Foundation and the East Rockaway Alumni Association. Collaborating with different people in our community to move forward after Hurricane Sandy highlighted that incredible things happen when we all work together. This is what I want to do now for our schools in the post-Covid environment—bring district members together, give everyone a seat at the table, and work on pushing our community forward.
