Nine years ago, I was quickly moving up the corporate ladder within the banking industry. Then one day, I stopped and looked at my manager, and his manager, and so on up the line. I asked myself, do I want to be in their shoes in 5, 10 or 20 years? Is that position worth working towards? I realised pretty quickly that it just wasn't what I wanted. Shortly afterwards, my brother introduced me to the strange world of network marketing www.goforyourbusiness.com . After extensive research, I realised that while many network marketing companies fail and plenty of people quit before they learn how to be successful, an unbelievably large number of people have great success in achieving health, time and financial freedom.
I had no clue what those three terms meant when I was in the banking world, either. To me, health freedom means having the time to exercise 5 times a week, avoiding the stress that comes with a job, and the money to afford healthy food. I also feel that time with family and friends benefits my health as well. Financial freedom means having the means to fund a comfortable lifestyle. While working in banking would have provided me with this, I would have been missing the last, and in my opinion, most crucial element. Time freedom is the one thing that I wanted more than anything. I want to be able to choose exactly how I spend my life and I want the option to not have to work on any given day.
The past two years I have been able to live my dream of loving what I do and also having loads of time off. I take around 6 months of holiday per year and in the days I do work I spend between 3 to 4 hours with my little girl. Life is just so much fun right now and I am always looking to meet likeminded people.
