D. Louise first gained an interest in art after watching her mother color in a coloring book; she was in the 3rd grade at the time. The direction her mother gave of how to bold outline and then apply a soft one directional color to the inside remained with her. To this day, she still enjoys coloring books and the technique taught so long ago.... "Thanks Mom".

Her first art award was in the 7th grade. When you're that young, a free Wendy's lunch was an exciting award!

Born in Corpus Christi Texas in 1965 and raised military, a Virgo at heart and artistic from the beginning, she continued to travl the US with her parents until high school. Tired of moving and trying to make new friends, she moved in with her cousins and graduated in Bakersfield, CA in 1983. Once again traveling the US... She hated it as a child, but loves it as an adult.

Now settled in the Greater Seattle area, D. Louise greatest plans are to open her own art business; The RoG Art & Wine Tarry. Her plans for the Tarry is to implement monthly new artists and wines, live music on Saturday evenings along with wine & chocolate tastings on Saturday afternoons.
