David Wilson

Here is the "Joe Friday" version of my story. I teach, lecture, and volunteer as a museum curator. I've published a local history which both honors and memorializes my hometown. My main interest is trying to understand the expressive parts of American popular culture and then sharing the insights. For fun I program music playlists and broadcast them online. If you are interested in new musical discovery for jazz, salsa, and R&B, look in my links. There is a lot there that you will like but probably never heard before. In a previous life I worked for government administrating and developing housing programs. Since I grew up in Paterson, NJ I continue to savour life in cities and believe that it is our task on this earth to improve our lot. But when you meet me in person you won't find a tight-lipped, rigid, "Just the facts, Ma'am" type of guy. I spin stories to enthusiastic audiences, seek out interesting neighborhoods to explore, and continue on my quest to find the next memorable hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant.
