I have always had a love for art and poetry ... something that I most likely inherited from my grandmothers. That love transcended over to photography as a perfect medium for being able to capture a moment in a real, undiluted form. The wonderful power of photography for helping to preserve memories became even more apparent and important with the birth of my daughters. From the moment my husband and I found out we were expecting our first, we knew that we wanted to document as many moments of her (and her younger sister's) lives as possible. That pushed me to take my photography to a higher level so that we could have professional quality photographs of our family.

Dottie Mainord Photography became a reality last summer with a unique vision. My goal through Dottie Mainord Photography was to help people preserve their memories through high-quality photography services while still making every effort to provide pricing that made these photography services accessible for people across all walks of life. I do not believe that high quality photography should only be accessible to those from the upper class or that it should be something that you can only afford to do every 5-10 years. Too much happens in life for that long of a gap! With that goal in mind, I created Dottie Mainord Photography, researching photo labs to find a top-of-the-line lab that allowed me to offer you archival quality photo products, carefully accounting for each cost associated with shooting a session so that I could give you the best rates, and continuing, to this day, to sharpen my skills as photography is a never ending learning experience. In doing so, I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing client's faces light up as they see the results of their sessions, as they realize that they can be superstars in front of the camera, and as their dreams for high quality photography services become a reality.
