David Melançon

David Melançon is a strategist and marketer with more than 20 years of experience with some the world’s best-known brands. David is the founder and CEO of The Ito Partnership, a brand development company based in NYC. Before launching Ito, David was President of IPG’s FutureBrand unit in North America and led the agency’s relationships with global clients including Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Intel and Unilever. David’s career includes time spent as both client and consultant. As head of communications for Visa, he led the card giant’s global communications efforts in launching new technology products such as online payments and stored value cards. On the consulting side, David has held senior positions at some of the best-known brand names in the agency world, including WPP’s Ogilvy and Omnicom’s Fleishman-Hillard. In these roles, he led multi-agency teams in delivering results to a diverse roster of corporate and consumer brands, including United Airlines, Levi-Strauss, Bank of America, Charles Schwab, Bacardi, Dell, Coca-Cola, UPS, Diageo, Sun Microsystems and Michelin.
