Dimitris Michalaros is a Visual Artist, currently living in Athens and Thessaloniki, Greece. He graduated with a Master in Fine Arts from the School of The Art Institute of Chicago, with an emphasis on Art and Technology, in 2008. He obtained his Bachelor in Painting from the School of Visual and Applied Arts, at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He acquired a certificate in European Animation Masterclass, from the International Academy of Media and Arts Halle, Germany. From October 2010 until September 2013, he was the co-Artistic Director of the Visual Arts Festival Action Field Kodra in Kalamaria, Thessaloniki, Greece. From November 2013 till June 2016 was the Chief Director of the contemporary Art Festival Action Field Kodra. He is the founder and the artistic director of katArt-e_Art & Technology Lab (www.katArt-e.com).
