For more than a decade, David has helped brands communicate more effectively across traditional, digital, social, direct response, thought leadership, and sales enablement channels. Before becoming a strategic planner, David spent several years on the other side of the creative brief as a copywriter, giving him a unique perspective into the creative development process and helping him identify which customer insights will prove most fertile for a creative team. He is very familiar with the distinct challenges B2B marketers face and has a passion for technology.
David has worked in a number of different vertical industries, including healthcare, IT, telecom, government, manufacturing, finance, and education for brands such as CDW, Grainger, BP Fuels, Verizon, Microsoft, United Technologies, Northrop Grumman, Plantronics, VeriSign, JP Morgan Chase, Discover Card, and Nestlé Purina. He's worked with several renowned marketing and advertising agencies as a strategist or copywriter, including MRM // McCann, Ogilvy + Mather, Leo Burnett, and Epsilon Interactive.
He earned a B.S. in Print Journalism from Emerson College and a M.A. in Communication from Gonzaga University. Outside of work, David is passionate about music and independent media. He hosted independent music shows with CHIRP Radio, Chicago’s Independent Radio Project, and KRCL 90.9FM, Listener's Community Radio of Utah.
