My first job out of college was designing cryogenic storage pods for a transhumanist temple.
I maintained a huge hypertextual notebook on index cards as an experiment in external memory. It's kind of cool. But not very portable.
I think QR Codes were a huge opportunity for computers to understand and augment hypertext on paper for creativity and research. I'm unsurprised but disappointed in the uses they've been put to.
Most recently, I made a neural interfaced set of prosthetic cat ears, and released it as an open source hardware kit. Because a friend bet me I couldn't.
