With fifteen years of experience in media, marketing and communication, 6 of those as a director in a leading engagement consultancy, I have intimate knowledge of best practice corporate communication and the skills to drive communication excellence. In recent years there has been an increasing demand for high-performing communication functions, and an even greater pressure for communication resources in South Africa and throughout the continent.
I am a director on the International Executive Board of the IABC, as well as past chair of the IABC Africa Region, heading up the International Association of Business Communicators in Africa. I have also judged the IABC Africa Gold Quill Awards and the IABC Gold Quills Blue Ribbon Panel.
In 2011 I served as vice-chairperson of the PRISA PRCC (Public Relations Consultancy Chapter of the Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa), and chief judge on the PRISM Awards (2011 to present).
I have had the opportunity to present three times at the IABC World Conference, in 2011, 2012, and 2013, where I presented to a global audience of top communicators on leadership communication and the establishment of an internal communication structure. In 2012 I was named an All-Star speaker.
