Del Marie

Del-Marie is fresh out of college, a recent graduate from the University of Iowa where she received her Bachelor of Arts in English, Spanish minor, and Certificate in Cultural Competency.

She is a popular performer in the literary & performing arts. Her dominant crafts being spoken word poetry, rap, song writing and dance.

Del-Marie is an advocate for youth which has led her to travel to India to teach English using Afro influenced song and dance and to Costa Rica. Here in the United States, she has volunteered and performed for organizations like Iowa Youth Writing Project, AmeriCorps, Fernando Jones Blues Camp, and Young Chicago Authors.

This summer Del-Marie was invited to the White House to perform poetry with Cheryl Pope and the JustYell collective to represent Juvenile Justice.

Currently she serves as a Public Ally member volunteering with Greater Auburn Gresham's Educational Department.

In the near future Del-Marie will be published and her recordings and performances available online.
