Deiniel Sanchez started learning the trumpet at the age of 8, however, shifted to the horn back at age 12 to fill up the horn section of their band in Bulacan, Philippines. Before entering the UST Conservatory of Music, Deiniel entered the University of Santo Tomas Alfredo M. Velayo College of Accountancy, where he took up a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (Class of 2019). He is now pursuing his Bachelor of Music Major in Music Performance at the UST Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Mrs. Atsuko Tashiro-Tagala and Mr. Jay-ar Mesa.
He is the current Principal Horn of the UST Symphony Orchestra and UST Wind Orchestra and has been a member of Ang Misyon Inc. Orchestra of the Filipino Youth in 2022 and the 2019 FilKor Youth Orchestra. He is also a regular program musician for professional ensembles such as the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra and the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra. He is also a member of the Pulong Buhangin Youth Band and the Philippine Horn Players' Society.
Deiniel won 1st Prize in the Brass Open Category in the recent National Music Competitions for Young Artists (NAMCYA) 2022 'Maglayog (Lumipad).' He was awarded a Gold Award in the First Round of the 2nd Sugree Charoensook International Music Competitions. He also won 1st Prize in the Asian Music Games 2021, 2nd Prize in the 2021 Bacoor International Music Championships, and 6th Place in the 1st Leopoldo Lopez Horn Competition. He was awarded the Benavides Outstanding Achievement Award and Pope John Paul II Outstanding Achievement Award by the University of Santo Tomas on UST Student Awards Day 2021 and 2022, respectively.
