Doc Anderson

Contrary to popular belief, Doc Anderson is an actual person.

He is one of the last of a vanishing breed. Erik "Doc" Anderson is an honest-to-goodness, dyed-in-the-wool, old-fashioned showman.

His family business was the sport of kings – horse racing (going back to his great-grandfather). He grew up on county fairgrounds and racetracks across the Midwest raised by horse-traders, carnies and gamblers. He learned the art of the pitch and the fast talk as well as a number of classic swindles and con games.

He also apprenticed for 7 years to learn the REAL secrets of the magicians. He toured an educational assembly program in schools for 6 years to learn to work with children. He worked as a professional psychic to learn skills mind readers and spirit mediums have used for over a century. And he earned a degree in theater so he could create powerful and entertaining programs for all kinds of audiences.

Doc has made a career out of his love for the unusual - lost performing arts, unique and hidden history, and all manner of "secret knowledge" that is not available to the general public. He is an award-winning educator and presenter, a master artist, and a veteran entertainer.

Doc has done all of this despite being born with Cerebral Palsy. Doc has long been an advocate for equity and for persons with disabilities.

Doc Anderson isn't the kind of person you're going to meet every day. He's not just another performer putting on a made up character. He's the genuine article!
