Katherine Johnson, D.Min. was born and raised in Oklahoma. She is a wife, mother, ecstatic grandmother of 5, author, teacher, spiritual director, and scuba-diver.

Dr. Johnson received her B.A. in Anthropology from Washington University in St. Louis and her M.A.T.S. and D.Min. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Her doctoral research focused on lectio divina as a catalyst for spiritual growth.

After 30 years as a Protestant missionary with Wycliffe Bible Translators, Dr. Johnson was received into the Catholic Church in 2013. After becoming Catholic, she was able to apply her teaching skills and love of bible study to a Catholic context. She also wrote a series of books designed to help people learn how to pray with lectio divina. When she is not teaching, she can be found developing and writing new materials for adult faith formation courses as well as offering her time as a spiritual director.

Dr. Johnson and her husband live in Dallas, Texas where they frequently teach classes at their local church so that participants can learn about their faith and fall more deeply in love with Jesus.
