Doc Toonz Children’s Book Illustration Pricing

Character Design:$50 per Character Design
If I Have to Design Characters, it will be $50 per character, and designs should be complete within 2 hours of starting the process. If it takes longer, then each additional hour is $25

Rough Layout:Once characters are designed, we will move on to the Rough Layout of the entire story. This is where we decide how many pages will be in the book. We will also decide how many quarter page/ half page/ full page/ or double page illustrations we will need for your story to be told. The cost for this portion is $100, and should take no more than 3 hours. After 3 hours, it is $25 for each additional hour. These will be thumbnail sketches of your story, not a rough draft of your characters in detailed scenes. The Rough Draft of your book is when we design the environment of where the characters live, and the props that support the activities of the characters, or that illustrate what the author is saying to tell the story.

Research Time:For highly detailed stories that need to be historically accurate, or require a lot of research, due to the nature of the literary works, the costs is $50 per hour of research, and $200 per day for major research, like visiting a museum, or finding a model to turn into a cartoon
