Writer and Historian in Mississippi

I am an author, ghostwriter, former (award-winning) newspaper reporter, copywriter, Christian minister, and independent scholar of Church History, specializing in Pentecostalism. I'm currently researching F.F. Bosworth, Anne Moody, Ernest Hemingway, and the cultural history of Natchez, Miss.

In an effort to present my research, news, and other writings to a wider audience, I created two blogs: Bosworth Matters and Roscoe Reporting.

Since May 2021, I've been serving as the Cultural Heritage Tourism Manager for Visit Natchez.

I’m a former columnist for two national publications: Fund Raising Management magazine (Hoke Communications Inc.) and Publishers' Auxiliary (National Newspaper Association). I also wrote a monthly column for The Tidal Wave business newsmagazine. I've been a regular contributor to Grace & Truth Magazine.

As an author, I’ve written books on many different topics which cover everything from World War II history to art. I am also the author of more than a dozen gospel tracts, most of which are published by leading Christian publishing houses.

In terms of my education, I earned my Ph.D. in Church History and Polity at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. My doctoral research focused on the life history of F.F. Bosworth, author of Christ the Healer.

I hold a Master of Arts in Religion from the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg, Pa., and a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies from East Coast Bible College in Charlotte, N.C. During the early part of the 1980s, I completed a writing course through the Christian Writers Guild under the guidance of Norman B. Rohrer. The course, which lasted more than three years, was called, "Discover Your Possibilities in Writing."

I invite you to take a look at my web pages and feel free to contact me. You can reach me directly at [email protected] or [email protected]. I welcome any questions you may have, including discussions about any of the topics mentioned.
