Mickie Autry, Ph.D, NP-C

Do you have female health questions you’re too embarrassed to ask? There’s no need for embarrassment. From years in nursing, I can assure you there are many women facing exactly the same issues that concern you. And I can help you with the answers you need.

My name is Mickie Autry. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Jacksonville State University, a Master’s of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Huntsville, and a Ph.D. from Walden University, where my dissertation was “Pelvic Muscle Strengthening: Impact on Sexual Functioning in the Menopausal Woman.”

My blog discusses a full range of women’s health issues, especially those affecting women age 50 and over, such as menopause, sexual health and preventive screenings.

I'm certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the American Nursing Credentialing Center, and the Certification Board for Urological Nurses and Associates. I completed multiple postgraduate preceptor programs in female sexual medicine, pelvic pain, and pelvic floor dysfunction.

I am the founder of two women’s health support groups and I enjoy speaking locally and nationally about women’s health issues.
