I am a dog advocate who lives in Halifax, NS. I have a blog and a couple websites dedicated to dog politics and advocacy
I am active in working to build awareness about different methods to train your dog and how some are better than others and that dogs deserve to be treated with respect, they are sentient beings and if given the option would not want to be shocked, demaned or jerked around
I am active in working to end the constant chaining of dogs and run a rescue and advocacy group around that idea - legislation was passed in lat 2014 that gave greater tools to help end their suffering
I am active in the fight to keep BSL out of Nova Scotia - in 2008 province wide BSL was almost passed in the legislature, but with hard work it was defeated.
I create backpacks with doggy fabrics, dog quilts and other dog flavoured items at Dogkisser Creations- dogs are good and made for us to give love to.
I work with lots of groups - some that don't exist anymore like Advocates for Repsonsible Pet Ownership, Atlantic Small Dog Rescue, the NS SPCA, Animal Rescue Coalitions, Elderdog, Marley's Hope, Misfit Manor, People For Dogs, No Chains All Love Dog Society,
