Dominic Carter is a journalist and reporter in the New York City area. He currently works at Verizon FiOS TV.

Dominic Carter studied at the State University of New York at Cortland in the Communication and Media Studies Program. He received his master's degree from Syracuse University in Broadcast Journalism. He started out his career in radio but then moved to TV six years later. He covered many topics including Howard Beach, The 2016 Election, hot topics in the news, and has done many interviews with people including former President Bill Clinton, Caroline Kennedy, and Nelson Mandela. Dominic has also received his honorary Ph.D. from the City University of New York. He is also part of the annual "Inner Circle" a charity of NY political reporters and is also a member of the Screen Actor's Guild.

Dominic Carter is also an author. His memoir "No Momma's Boy," received critical acclaim. He tells his story of growing up with a mentally ill mother who was a paranoid schizophrenic. Newsday reviewed the book saying, "No TV anchor has ever produced a memoir as grippingly honest as this."

He currently resides in New York with his wife and has a son and daughter.
