Dominic Mentor

Dominic Mentor (Ed.D.) is a corporate trainer for a software technology company and serves part time as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia University.

Previously, as a senior director with a USA national corporate facing training organization, Dominic:

- Reduced operational costs by $3.4 million over 3 years through better partnerships

- Raised revenue by more than $10 million

With the Software Technology company, Dominic:

* Developed and executed a multitude of training initiatives with high business impact

Dominic also initiated the USA’s first mLearning & mHealth graduate class, worked on a social media fellowship for the NYC Mayor’s Office of Adult Education, as well as transformed various civic and corporate organizations from paper based silos to integrated digitized entities. Dominic’s background includes Instructional Design, Training Technology, Computer Assisted, e-&-m-Learning, workforce development, and user experience and interface designs. Previously initiating and guiding a nationally based USA training organization to move from paper based models to digital processes from application and engagement, Learning and Development, Internship as well as career and service engagement and support.

Dominic earned his doctorate at Columbia University, as well as a Masters. Prior to that, he earned a Master's (cum laude) in Computer Assisted Language Learning, an MA in Instructional Technology and Design, an Honors degree in Literary Theory as well as a Post-graduate Higher Diploma in Education. Dominic also earned a diploma from Harvard Business School.

Dominic recently presented at UNESCO's Mobile Learning Week (2019, 2018, 2014) as well as keynote speaker events at the Kappa Delta Pi Honors Society induction, the annual Educational Technology conference at William Paterson University in New Jersey and was the keynote speaker at the Technology summit held in Johannesburg, South Africa. Dominic has also presented as expert panelist and guest speaker at various events, as well as at TEDx.

Dominic has authored and published on his innovative and award winning training initiatives. His most recent publications include (1) Advancing Mobile Learning in Contemporary Spaces, (2)Computer-Mediated Learning for Workforce Development (3)Handbook of Research on Mobile Learning as well as a host of chapters in other books.

Dominic's corporate training awards include Blended & Elite Learning Awards (2014, 2015, 2019, 2020).
