Over the course of her life, Dominica Y. Wambold has had the privilege to work on some of the most exciting and innovative projects that are shaping the millennial generation. With interests that range from intergovernmental cooperation to educational media to business operations, Dominica has worked on both upfront and behind-the-scenes initiatives.
As a native of London who grew up in New York City and studied abroad in Istanbul, Dominica has been gifted with a global perspective that's had a profound effect on her. One of her first work experiences was at a crucial time in Eastern Europe, when she served as the very first undergraduate intern to work in the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo. Here, she contributed to important initiatives that would help the Republic of Kosovo create opportunities and improvements for minority communities in alignment with UN development objectives.
Later, Dominica worked within the project operations arm of the United Nations. Here, she got more experience with crises (e.g., Sahel, Syria) and the workings of intergovernmental agencies.
Other experience spans traditional, non-traditional, and digital media, corporate law, campaign operations, tech startups, and consulting across a range of industries and subject matters.
A longtime tutor/teaching assistant to young kids in New York and California with a focus on those typically lacking support resources, Dominica is particularly invested in supporting women in the workforce and education. She co-ran Stanford's Chapter of Ellevate, a network for businesswomen, supported Dress for Success through Pro Bono consulting projects, mentored extensively, and taught chess with Harlem Children's Zone.
In her spare time, Dominica is an avid equestrian who regularly competes in national competitions, and is involved with running her family farm, Wambold Farms.
