Dominic LaMorte
Multi-Instrumentalist and Composer
Dominic most recently lead the bass section of Next Festival for Emerging Artists, where he was an artist & orchestra fellow in-residency, (PS21: Performance Spaces for the 21st Century) and worked alongside incredible musicians, composers, choreographers. They performed 11 world-premiere compositions, including pieces written by members of the American Composers Orchestra, as part of ACO's "SONiC EarShot" Festival.
As a theatre musician, Dominic has recently completed the Broadway 1st National Tour of Oklahoma (Associate Conductor/Bass) and a summer residency at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with Ellie MacPherson's “Happy Birthday Mr. President!”
As a trained jazz musician (The New School) Dominic has been elated to perform and record overseas (Internationales Jazzfestival Bern) and throughout New York City.
He loves collaborating on new works/projects and enjoys giving private lessons.
