I am associate professor of urban and regional development in the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment at Delft University of Technology where I belong to the Spatial Planning and Strategy group.

Career

My academic career began at Bristol Polytechnic (now UWE) where I started out as a researcher. A few years later I moved to UCL as a research fellow (alongside part-time lecturing at UWE). In 2001, I moved to Delft University of Technology after being awarded a Marie Curie Fellowship, a European postdoctoral research grant for young talented academics.

Publications

I have published more than 70 academic journal articles and over 30 book chapters. Many of these articles are highly cited, including contributions to the Journal of Transport Geography, Planning Theory and Practice, and Planning Practice and Research.
