Don Iannone is a native of Martins Ferry and Saint Clairsville in Eastern Ohio. He and his wife Mary are residents of Bratenahl, a near eastside suburb of Cleveland on Lake Erie.
Don is a professional economic developer with over 30 years of experience working on local, regional, and state economic development projects in over 30 states and 8 countries. He has held leadership positions in economic development at the state and national levels.
His educational background includes a liberal arts degree from Cleveland State University, graduate training in organizational behavior and management at Case Western Reserve University, a professional diploma in economic development from the University of Oklahoma, and a Master of Arts degree in art and consciousness from the University of Philosophical Research.
Don has published widely in the economic development and environmental fields. He is also the author of two books of poetry and three books of photography. Don is a professionally trained photographer with experience in using the power of the visual image to discover and create meaning for others and himself.
For many years, he published Economic Development Futures, an informational blog about current and future issues and trends in local and state economic development, which was read by over 2,000 subscribers across the U.S. and in other countries. Recently, he launched Inside Bratenahl, a source of reasoned ideas and perspectives on how to build community in the Village of Bratenahl.
