New York City-based litigation attorney and entertainment producer Donald Harwood practices commercial and real estate law at the boutique law firm of Harwood Reiff, LLC. Donald Harwood earned his juris doctor from Northeastern University School of Law in 1981 before beginning his career as an attorney in the Boston area. For nearly a decade, he built and maintained a reputation as a successful trial and appellate attorney in eastern Massachusetts.

Attorney Donald Harwood moved to New York City in the early 1990s. He later co-founded Itkowitz & Harwood, where he handled a broad spectrum of commercial matters, including landlord-tenant disputes and contract and collections claims. Mr. Harwood cofounded his present firm in 2012. He currently maintains licensure to practice in New York and Massachusetts, as well as before the First, Second, Fourth, and Seventh Circuits of the U.S. Courts of Appeals and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Northern, and Eastern Districts of New York, as well as the District of Massachusetts.

Married to Oscar-nominated film director Courtney Hunt, Donald Harwood began practicing entertainment law in the late 2000s. He served as an executive producer of Hunt’s critically acclaimed 2008 film, Frozen River, which received two Oscar nods, including for Best Original Screenplay.
