I married my wonderful wife in 1990, and we have two teenaged boys.

I have earned a Masters in Public Administration degree, with dual emphases in "State, Local, and Non-profit Administration" and the "Legal Environment of Administration" from Idaho State University. I also have two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Elementary Education and American Studies from Idaho State University. I am a life member of the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society. My wife is an alumnus of Idaho State University as well.

I have been a minister for many years, and served several churches and nonprofits in a variety of positions. I have taught school in elementary, middle and high school grades, and worked with children and adults with developmental disabilities and mental health issues.
