Donald R. Bernard
Donald R. Bernard served at the beginning of his career as a Briefing Attorney for the Supreme Court of Texas. Today, he contributes in managerial capacities to a number of businesses in South America. Donald R. Bernard serves as co-owner of Golden Stag Safaris, located in La Pampa, Argentina, and he co-owns Estancia Laguna Verde near El Calafate. As Vice President and Chairman of Laguna Verde, Donald R. Bernard manages company policy to support revenues in the millions of dollars. Located on the beautiful “Jurassic Lake” on the south side of Patagonia, the Laguna Verde fishing lodge offers an excellent location, attracting anglers worldwide. Donald R. Bernard makes additional profit selling smoked, organically raised rainbow trout. The lodge sits several hours south of Golden Stag Safaris, whose wide variety of exotic large game attracts hunters and tourists from around the world. He studied law at The University of Texas at Austin, graduating in 1958 with his Juris Doctor and shortly thereafter becoming an Assistant Attorney General in Austin, serving the State of Texas until 1960. Afterward, he joined Bernard & Bernard, a Houston-based law firm, where he participated as a Partner. He stayed with the practice for nearly 20 years before establishing his solo firm, which he operated in Houston until 1994.
