I am a board-certified rheumatologist in clinical practice at Arthritis and Pain Associates of Prince George's County in Greenbelt, Maryland, where I have cared for patients with autoimmune and inflammatory disease for more than three decades. I also teach rheumatology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

I am the author of The Lupus Encyclopedia, published by Johns Hopkins University Press, and I write regularly for patients and clinicians about lupus, Sjogren's disease, and related conditions.

Through Rheumatology Case Review, I provide independent medical-legal case review, written expert reports, and testimony for attorneys nationwide. I accept matters from plaintiff and defense counsel alike. My work covers lupus, Sjogren's disease, inflammatory arthritis, fibromyalgia, Ehlers-Danlos syndromes, causation, disability and prognosis, and standard of care.
