Don is an advocate for removing barriers from education, whether the barriers be walls, wires, fear, or policies in the formal education environment. He has a B.S.E. in Vocational Business Education and German Language and an M.S.E. in Educational Leadership from Henderson State University and is currently in pursuit of his doctorate in Educational Leadership. He served as the Director of Technology, middle school teacher and high school teacher for Hot Springs School District for 15 years. In 2009, he was invited to become an Assistant Professor at Henderson State University in the Educational Leadership Department for the building and district level leadership programs as the technology subject matter expert. Don also serves as the Director of Hot Springs Technology Institute, the premiere educational technology conference in Arkansas, now in its the 20th year of existence which takes place in June each year. He is an Erate subject matter expert for several organizations and also serves on various boards and organizations throughout the state.
