Drug Rehab and Substance Abuse Treatment Programs at Transitional Housing in White Plains NY

Transitional housing is affordable, low-cost supportive housing. These programs are designed to help people transition from an emergency shelter to permanent housing.

During this time, they receive life skills, supervision, and appropriate support services. These programs are funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. They may also provide job training.

The YWCA Women's Residence has been serving low-income women since 1930. It is the largest provider of supportive housing in New York State. Since then, it has become a place of healing, restoration, and support for women in need.

Founded by a group of concerned individuals, SHORE is dedicated to sheltering the homeless. Initially, they began by building a temporary shelter inside a White Plains church. Afterwards, they rehabilitated a building in White Plains with social loans.

There are two other men's shelters in White Plains, the Open Arms Men's Shelter and Brothers Christopher House. Both provide a variety of programsto meet the needs of men in need.

Halfway Houses of Westchester Inc is located at 14 Longview Avenue in White Plains, NY 10605. This organization offers drug rehab treatment for adults. Their program is licensed by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services.

The YWCA of Yonkers provides 16 studio apartments, one-bedroom shared apartments, and 10 permanent SRO-type rooms. The facility is staffed with a full-time Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor and a House Manager.

Sancia Wellness Inc, an outpatient substance abuse treatment center, helps co-occurring mental and substance abuse disorders. A wide variety of programs are available, including counseling, educational support, and housing assistance.
