I completed my PhD in Dr. Tony Harris' lab at the University of Toronto (2009-2015). In my thesis work, I discovered ArfGEF-regulated membrane cytoskeleton activity during cell division in the developing fruit fly embryo.
I joined Dr. Elizabeth Chen's lab at John Hopkins University School of Medicine as a postdoctoral fellow (2015-2016). Subsequently, the Chen lab moved to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX (2016-Present).
Currently, I am investigating molecular and cellular mechanisms that drive cell-cell fusion, using advanced genetics and high-resolution microscopy. The project is funded by Canadian Institute of Health Research Postdoctoral fellowship.
