From Blurred Lines to Bold Visions

I’m Donna—the woman behind the brand, and the brand behind the big red glasses. 🪞❤️👓

Most people notice them before they know the story.

This image captures something deeply personal to me.

In the mirror, on one side is simply me (blue suit/hat)—the woman, the oversized red glasses that have become my signature, enjoys feminine elegance, quiet moments, and creating with intention.

Neither is more real than the other.

One is the person.

The other is the brand.

As a young mother of four, keratoconus left me legally blind. I could read books but couldn’t clearly see my children’s faces. Two corneal transplants gave me back my vision, and those oversized red glasses became a reminder that life’s greatest challenges can become our greatest strengths.

Today, I’m the founder of Donna L. Holloman Ventures, where creativity, entrepreneurship, and community come together. My work spans photography, writing, real estate, and the Urban Green Homes Community Redevelopment Collective—an initiative exploring affordable, sustainable ways to transform vacant starter homes into thriving neighborhoods.

With more than 40 years of professional experience, over 25 years in real estate, and dual master’s degrees in Business Administration and Real Estate, I’ve learned that purpose rarely arrives all at once.

It unfolds one chapter at a time.

As an introvert, sharing my journey hasn’t always been easy. But I’ve come to believe that stories are meant to be shared—not because we have all the answers, but because our experiences may give someone else the courage to keep going.

The big red glasses may be what first catches your eye…

But the woman behind them has always been the vision.

Both reflections are me.

One introduced herself to the world.

The other finally feels comfortable letting the world meet her.
