From Blurred Lines to Bold Visions—One Project at a Time

My Journey from Blindness to Empowerment

As a young mother of four, I could read books—but not see my children’s faces unless they were inches away. Keratoconus left me legally blind, yet I kept moving forward.

With determination (and two corneal transplants), I went from a Professional Typist Certificate to earning multiple degrees in Business and Real Estate—all while raising a family and building a career across government and community spaces.

One capstone project—exploring green technologies in real estate—sparked a vision that never left me. That vision grew into Urban Green Homes CRC, a nonprofit dedicated to transforming vacant starter homes into eco‑friendly, affordable spaces that rebuild urban blighted neighborhoods from the inside out.

🌿 Pull Up a Chair—This Table Has Room for You 🌿 This work is my ultimate capstone: a movement in progress, not just a meeting agenda. Every seat represents vision, collaboration, and community renewal.

I share my story not to ask, but to invite. To inspire curiosity. To welcome those who want to explore, support, or simply witness what happens when resilience meets reinvention.
