Donna is the Recruiter and Admission Counselor for the Willamette MBA for Professionals programs in Salem and Portland, Oregon. Through this role, Donna assists prospective MBA candidates along the admission process, counsels prospective students, current students and alumni regarding career paths, and conducts outreach to the Oregon business community to help foster relationships among Willamette MBA, organizations and community members.
Previously, as the Assistant Director of Service Learning and Career Development at Western Oregon University in Monmouth, Oregon, Donna conducted career counseling, worked with employers looking to hire students for volunteer, internship or permanent positions, and developed internship programing for students and organizations.
Donna is also the founder of Montoya Media | Translations, which she runs with husband Rogelio Montoya. Together, they make up a team of English/Spanish bilingual professionals with experience translating, interpreting, marketing to Hispanic communities, and creating websites in both English and Spanish.
In May 2010 Donna completed her MBA at Atkinson Graduate School of Management, Willamette University with Atkinson Honors, Beta Gamma Sigma and Pi Alpha Alpha.
Donna graduated from Linfield College with a B.A. in Economics and Spanish, and is passionate about cross-cultural communication, teaching languages, and connecting the business world to students at Western Oregon University.
Before embarking on her MBA and Higher Education careers, Donna worked as a bilingual consultant for OSU Federal Credit Union, and lived and worked in Mexico where she worked in residential real estate, gave Business English courses, and was Academic Supervisor at a language institute.
Donna is also the proud mother of a little boy, and, with her husband, raises him in a bilingual and bicultural household in Oregon.
