Donna Stapleton

A registered nurse (RN) educated at the University of Central Florida, with an MS in Anesthesiology and an MSN for nurse practitioners from Barry University, Donna Stapleton has a wealth of training and experience to offer in her anesthesia practice in DeBary, Florida. She completed her Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesiologist (CRNA) residency at Orlando Regional Medical Center and Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies. Working alongside anesthesiologists in inpatient settings, her aptitude for learning and her adaptability brought Stapleton opportunities to work in such diverse areas as interventional radiology, labor and delivery, cardiothoracic surgery, and aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. She also has extensive outpatient anesthesia experience, working at the Orlando Surgery Center, Florida Surgery Center, and more recently, the surgery centers of Anesthesia Healthcare Partners. Donna Stapleton is skilled in conversing with Spanish-speaking patients, and proficient in American Sign Language.

As a youth, Donna Stapleton witnessed firsthand the effects of her physician grandfather?s travels around the world, during which he treated indigent populations, particularly in Africa and Latin America. His humanitarianism inspired her to follow his example by volunteering for medical missions in Honduras and Belize. Together with her physician husband, Donna Stapleton supports a rural clinic in Belize by collecting donations of items necessary for the medical care of the local population. Impacted by her mother?s premature death from lung cancer, she has been involved in efforts to increase medical research in oncology. She is also interested in medical issues on the subject of Alzheimer?s disease and has been involved in supporting assisted living programs.

Donna Stapleton is a keen water skier and a veteran airplane pilot, having flown private planes for 17 years. Donna Stapleton is also an avid scuba diver, having earned Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) certification.
