Donna Stroup
Donna Stroup is the founder and President of Data for Solutions, Inc., an innovative firm that provides research design services, as well as evidence-based data analysis in the field of public health. Dr. Stroup’s decades of experience as an analyst and scientist include professional work in project development and administration, including infrastructure management of thousands of employees and large corporate budgets. As a consulting firm, Data for Solutions, Inc., has worked with many major global organizations and institutions of higher education in the areas of community health and biostatistics since its inception in 2006. While advising UNAIDS and the World Health Organization, Donna Stroup worked around the world in locations such as North Africa and the Middle East, as well as the Caribbean, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia. As a Senior Consultant with UNAIDS, Donna Stroup has contributed to the fight against HIV/AIDS by providing invaluable scientific expertise and analysis aimed at communities with a high risk for spreading the disease. Moreover, as a skilled personnel trainer and project manager, Dr. Stroup has helped UNAIDS fulfill its mission of granting people universal access to HIV prevention and treatment, as well as care and support services.
Additionally, with Data for Solutions, Inc., Donna Stroup has consulted for several academic and pharmaceutical clients. She worked with St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies, where she developed the Advanced Biostatistics for Population Health Management graduate studies program. Dr. Stroup has also worked with the University of Georgia in Athens, and she currently serves as an adjunct faculty member at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Working as a principal investigator on grants from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Donna Stroup is focused on bringing about significant policy changes that will impact the epidemic of childhood obesity in the United States.
Before launching Data for Solutions, Inc., Donna Stroup obtained her Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematical Statistics at Princeton University in New Jersey. In addition, she holds a Master of Science in Community Medicine from the University of Cambridge in England.
