My name is Donnie Parker. I love my church, family, and sports. I currently live in Concord, NC where I was born and raised. I graduated from Stanly Community College with an Associates in Arts, and I am now hoping to get my teaching license in Elementary Education, and hopefully teach PE.
I always try to put God first in everything I do. I'm not perfect, but I pride myself in being "A nobody, that's telling everybody, about Somebody, who can save anybody."
I love my family very much. They mean everything to me. I have a wonderful wife, to whom I have been wonderfully married for twenty one years. We have five children, with the eldest being a sophomore in college, and the youngest starting the sixth grade. I also have a two month old granddaughter.
I really like sports, whether it's going to live games, coaching, or watching my own kids play. I currently have two kids playing school ball, and two kids playing travel ball. Between work, school, and their sports schedules, I keep myself very busy.
I currently work as the YES center coordinator at The Opportunity School in Concord. This is an alternative school that provides the students with a second, and sometimes third and fourth chance, to make their way back to their home public school. I hope to instill a positive outlook into these students lives, showing them that "Attitude is contagious-Is yours worth catching?"
