11-06-13 One problem wih About.me is that it doesn't really have any provisions for updating, so I'm making one. I'll try to post any news in hopes of giving you a reason to come back. Writing is a typical case of "hurry up and wait" and I spend a great deal of my time doing both.
I would like to invite you to consider my audiobooks, which can be found on the same "page" as other info on the books on Amazon.com, or you can look them up under my name on Audible.com. You can hear a sample by clicking on the small green arrow under the cover illustration.
But now, back to our regular program, already in progress:
Ok, what to do? Arm twisting doesn't work well; tooting one's own horn all too often merely makes people cover their ears. So just how do I convince potential readers...convince you...to read my books? Seriously.
Well, let's start out with the usual "I was born in a log cabin on a cold winter's night..." biographical information:
Author of more than 20 books, including the 14-book Dick Hardesty mystery series and the 4-book Elliott Smith paranormal mystery series as well as the stand-alone western/romance/adventure/YA novel, Calico, Short Circuits: a Life in Blogs, (a compilation of samples from 4 years of blogs), the non-fiction A World Ago: A Navy Man's Letters Home, 1954-1956, and Dreams of a Calico Mouse--all of which are being done as audio books.
My primary goal in life: to convince YOU to read and/or listen to all of the above. I honestly think you might enjoy them, or I wouldn't waste your time.
Self appointed curmudgeon/hopeless romantic. Favorite word: "we", which by definition includes you. Loves nothing better than hearing from a reader or potential reader--which again includes you. Questions/comments always welcome.
Always appreciates visitors to http://www.doriengrey.com, where you can read the first chapter of any or all of the books ab-so-lutely free of charge. ('Ya can't beat "Free!")
Convinced? No? Hmmm....shall I bring on the dancing bears?
