I’m a Christian mom of three beautiful children, two boys and a girl. I’m married to my best friend, Ryan, who supports my dreams and who gives me the freedom to use my strengths to encourage women, especially to moms.
I developed a love for writing and public speaking when I started having children. I found the life lessons learned through their adventures entertaining. God used those moments with my kids to teach me how to trust Him. I started recording these stories when I began blogging back in 2010.
Moms, we have a profound purpose in raising our children. Especially in our current culture which overall has moved away from following biblical, moral values. To be sure, I do. I want to share my discoveries as a Christian mom. To show the beauty in our brokenness and to affirm that we aren’t walking this motherhood road alone.
I chose Faith, Family Life & Other Things to etch out my corner of this internet world. To give myself a voice among many to offer encouragement, funny quips, inspiring notes from other Christian leaders, and to write about the adventures in my faith, with my family, and about other things that interest me.
When I’m not writing or speaking, I spend my time volunteering at church, investing in my spiritual and personal growth through reading and from mentoring relationships. I love hanging out with my husband and our children doing just about anything outdoors. I enjoy drinking a cup of coffee in the morning, reading my Bible, cooking, shopping, and catching those moments that every mom needs–girlfriend time!
My favorite scripture passage is found in 1 Thessalonians 5:15-18 which says, “See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people. Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus” (NLT).
I’m humbled and thrilled to walk this journey with you. Thank you doesn’t reach far enough for the gratitude I have for you for taking a moment to read my thoughts. I would love to hear from you. Send me a note or jump into the conversation within our Facebook community. May the Lord bless you abundantly and surround you with favor like a shield.
With kindest regards,
